Kota Samarahan, Sarawak – 22 March 2025 – In the spirit of Ramadan, NAIM Group of Companies came together to support a long-serving colleague, Mr. Umar, by building a home for his family. To ensure the house was ready in time for Hari Raya, NAIM employees from various departments, along with senior management, participated in a gotong-royong effort to paint, landscape, and furnish the home.

This meaningful Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative reflects the values of generosity, kindness, and unity, which are especially significant during the holy month. For Umar, this initiative was more than just receiving a house—it was about experiencing the true spirit of community and generosity.

“I am truly grateful and overjoyed. As the sole breadwinner, I have struggled to provide a comfortable space for my wife and children, and now, thanks to NAIM’s kindness, we finally have a place we can proudly call home. Seeing my colleagues dedicate their time and effort to help us is something I will never forget. This is what it truly means to be part of the NAIM family.”
This initiative marks NAIM’s third CSR effort in building homes, following similar projects for John Anak Away in Miri (2019) and Puan Dayang Inot Binti Ahmad Wan in Bintangor (2020). This effort reflects NAIM’s unwavering commitment to supporting its employees and communities reinforcing the belief that giving abc is not just a responsibility but a core value that strengthens the bonds within NAIM and extends goodwill to those in need.

   NAIM stepped in to support John Anak Away, a dedicated shipbuilder and family man who spent over a decade constructing a home for his loved ones despite financial hardships and health struggles. Through NAIM’s ‘Better Homes Project,’ the company provided building materials and mobilized volunteers, enabling John’s dream home to be completed in time for Christmas 2019.
2. Restoring Comfort and Stability: Puan Dayang Inot Binti Ahmad Wan’s Home in Bintangor
   In collaboration with Lembaga Amanah Kebajikan Melayu Bintangor and the local Masjid Committee, NAIM facilitated essential utilities for Puan Dayang Inot’s new home, ensuring access to electricity and water. Additionally, NAIM organized logistics for furnishing and transporting essentials, provided catering for the housewarming ceremony, and arranged facilities to enhance the comfort of guests, demonstrating its commitment to community upliftment.
   Through these initiatives, NAIM reaffirms its steadfast dedication to corporate social responsibility, ensuring that its success translates into meaningful contributions that uplift lives and strengthen communities.
